- Saved 350 Critically Endangered North Atlantic right whales by requiring vessels to slow vessels down when transiting through their habitat
- Saved 50 humpback whales by blocking an attempt by Greenland to hunt them
- Reduced the risk of entanglements in fishing gear to 900 humpback, 2000 finbacks, 3000 minke whales and the remaining 350 North Atlantic right whales along the East Coast of the US by requiring the use of sinking line
- Reduced the risk of harassment from commercial whale watching to more than 10,000 whales, dolphins, and porpoises by launching Whale SENSE (www.whalesense.org)
- Increased protection for the remaining 350 Critically Endangered North Atlantic right whale by Petitioning for an increase in designated Critical Habitat
- Reduced the risk of harassment from commercial dolphin watching to more than 10,000 dolphins by expanding Dolphin SMART (www.dolphinsmart.org )
- Developed a new plan to reduce the bycatch of 89,000 harbor porpoise in gillnets
- Reduced ocean acidification by recycling 9,028 bottles and cans from whale watch boats
- Saved the lives of countless whales by maintaining the international moratorium in commercial whaling
